Job Summary
Defines and develops engineering solutions for iComplete products and systems and acts as a technical contributor throughout the product lifecycle, in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures and processes, schedules and budgets, with a continuous concern for safety, quality, innovation, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Job Description
- Develops mechanical designs and engineering solutions for iComplete products, assemblies, and systems.
- Creates and maintains design documentation, including models, drawings, design calculations, bills of material, and engineering specifications.
- Identifies, evaluates, and mitigates technical risks associated with product design, performance, manufacturability, and field operation.
- Supports product development activities from concept through qualification, manufacturing, deployment, and sustaining engineering.
- Collaborates with controls, software, electrical, and systems engineering teams to develop integrated product solutions.
- Ensures engineering deliverables comply with applicable quality requirements, codes, standards, and TechnipFMC engineering processes.
- Supports product testing, validation, and qualification activities and evaluates results to verify compliance with design requirements.
- Participates in design reviews, hazard assessments, failure investigations, and root cause analyses.
- Interfaces with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, field service, and operations personnel to support product development and deployment activities.
- Identifies opportunities for product improvement, standardization, cost reduction, enhanced manufacturability, and increased reliability.
- Supports the resolution of technical issues associated with existing products and systems through engineering analysis and corrective actions.
- Contributes to the development of innovative technologies, products, and engineering capabilities within the iComplete organization.
You are meant for this job if:
- You have 4 to 8 years of experience in mechanical product design, equipment development, or a related engineering discipline, and have successfully developed products from concept through manufacturing and deployment.
- You are proficient in 3D CAD modeling, engineering drawings, GD&T, engineering documentation, and design for manufacturing, and can translate requirements into practical, reliable, and manufacturable products.
- You have experience designing and supporting mechanical, hydraulic, pressure-containing, or industrial equipment, including product testing, validation, troubleshooting, failure investigations, and continuous product improvement activities.
- You possess a strong understanding of engineering principles, design methodologies, applicable industry standards, and engineering best practices. An understanding of API 6A, API 6X, and API 16FI is preferred.
- You are comfortable using engineering analysis and simulation tools. An familiarity with OrcaFlex, DeepLines, or similar engineering software is preferred
- You enjoy working across disciplines and have experience collaborating with electrical, controls, software, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to develop integrated product solutions.
- You are comfortable working in a multidisciplinary, matrixed engineering organization and are a strong technical problem solver who can effectively manage multiple priorities, communicate complex concepts, and deliver practical engineering solutions that improve safety, reliability, manufacturability, and performance.
