Job Purpose

As a Service Technician at our Workshop, you will performs specialized- and complex assembly and tests, of mechanical/hydraulic assemblies. You will also act as technical referee in a specialized field, and/or coordinate a small team of technicians.

Job Description

  • Perform maintenance and service on Surface Wellhead equipment, valves and tools.
  • Perform maintenance, modification and repair (MMR)
  • Troubleshoot workshop tools and surface equipment.
  • Pressure testing; Operate Torque/Make & Brake machine according to procedures
  • Prepare service reports and update equipment service history
  • Contribute to improve workshop processes and technical documentation
  • Ensure order and tidiness on the workstation and workshop in general
  • Participate in the company's training and transferring of knowledge
  • Some sporadic travel activities can be expected

You are meant for this job if:

Other relevant experience can compensate for a lack of the formal competencies, as listed below:

  • Apprentice Diploma in one or more of the following areas: Mechanics, Automation, Hydraulics.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience is preferred, but not essential 
  • Overhead crane certificate is highly relevant
  • Forklift certificate is relevant
  • Good knowledge of Norwegian and English languages is necessary, both oral and written
  • A quality and safety mindset
  • Responsible, positive, self-dependent, honest, service-minded
  • Positive and sociable, with a flexible mindset
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Norway, without sponsorship. Local candidates will be prioritized.
