Job Purpose

To primarily provide QC support and advise to the Base Operations and Offshore Service project teams influencing a positive QHSE culture.

 

Support teams to identify and implement improvements that result in improved safety, quality, cost, utilizing appropriate tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, Root Cause Analysis

Job Description

  • Main tasks for the QC inspector include, but is not limited to, the following:
    • Ensure that all equipment is inspected in accordance with TechnipFMC Technical Specifications, Engineering Drawings, Product Specifications and Purchase Order requirements
    • Ensure that all support documentation is verified in accordance with TechnipFMC Technical Specifications, Engineering Drawings, Product Specifications and Purchase Order requirements.
    • Ensure all activities undertaken are supported with an auditable trail of records, and that these records are maintained in line with the organizations’ Quality Management System requirements.
    • Ensure all QC related transactions within the SAP Database are correctly processed.
    • Contribute with input to repair scope for MMR activities.
    • Perform Non-Conformance management when QC inspector is set as QN coordinator
    • When required, attend operational project review meetings and pre-job kick off meetings to provide input on the feasibility and scope of carrying out the planned activities
    • ECN processing
  • Actively participate, encourage continuous improvement, especially in standardization, 5S, etc.
  • Perform work in compliance with all applicable HSE requirements, proactively identify and mitigate HSE hazards, attend HSE training, use mandatory personal protective equipment.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Experience with QC inspections and relevant QC tasks (Oil and Gas industry preferred)
  • PC skills (Office 365), 

Nice to have:

    • ERP knowledge e.g. SAP
    • Faro-arm experience. 
    • NDE experience ( MPI and LPI ) 
    • Certificate in ISO 9712 - NDT level 2 ( PCN ) 

Technical skills and/or problem-solving skills:

    • Ability to conduct Root Cause Analysis and investigations
    • Anticipating and avoiding non-compliance of internal standards and policies based on relevant laws and industry best practices and risk assessments.
    • Technical knowledge of Oil and Gas drilling and production equipment (an advantage)

Interpersonal skills:

  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  •  Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and coaching, and respond appropriately
  • Self-motivated and ability to work un-assisted when required
  • Prepare and present reports to all levels of management and internal/external partners 
  • Ability to foster communication within diverse cultural environments
  • Be able to convey risks and consequences 
  •  Able to maintain and protect confidentiality
