Job Purpose

As a Metering Engineer you will be part of the Metering Development Department, which has the main responsibility for the metering technology fundamentals of TechnipFMC's multiphase meters. You will be expected to handle operational responsibility for a selection of the department's product lifecycle management responsibilities, as well as ongoing problem solving tasks towards Production and Service. It is also expected that you will contribute in internal projects aimed at maintaining and continuously improve our multiphase meter’s performance.

 

Job Description

  • Participate in internal projects aimed at maintaining and continuously improving our multiphase meter’s performance.
  •  Be part of the resource pool providing 2nd level technical support on our metering technology to for meters in production and operation:

            o Handle support cases for production when required

            o Handle support cases for service when required

            o These are typically complex technical issues that requires an analytical problem solving approach as well as cooperation with multiple departments within TechnipFMC.

  • Maintain and further develop source code related to tools and databases used within the department.
  • Be part of the team responsible for maintaining and updating the meter design configuration portfolio, as well as its tools, procedures and work processes

•    Master degree in within petroleum engineering, cybernetics, signal processing, applied physics, mathematics or similar areas.
•    Work experience can compensate for lack of formal competency
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Interacting effectively with diverse teams
•    Resourcefull and persistent
•    Good knowledge in programming
•    Analytical
•    Structured mindset with focus on systematic problem solving
•    Pro-active and self-driven

Desirable

•    It is beneficial to have experience from the petroleum industry, more specifically within metering.
