Job Purpose:

Provides engineering solutions as part of an SSE project taskforce, in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures, processes, schedules, and budget, with a continuous concern for quality, targets, and customer satisfaction.

Job Description:

  • Leads several complex projects requiring new technology in challenging environment at the same time as referent or general rule. 
  • Is involved in the decision-making process as technical-technological engineering referent. 
  • Works independently while supporting the establishment of design requirements and conceptualize, plan and execute technical deliverables.
  • Responsible to ensure all engineering scope for assigned project meets customer requirements and is delivered on time.
  • Work with project planner, workshop (C&A) coordinator and other technical functions to plan, generate and maintain schedule of assigned projects.
  • Technical focal point in the area of expertise for all communication with customer and internal project team.
  • Collaborate closely with internal project team members to ensure successful project execution.
  • Review and interpret customer technical specifications and industry codes.
  • Review and approve engineering documents, including specifications, electrical block and termination diagrams, P&ID and layout drawings, MEL (Master Equipment List), DBI (Data Base Information), ECN (Engineering Change Notice), design documents and ICP (Installation & Commissioning Procedure), FAT/eFAT (Factory/Extended Factory Acceptance Testing) procedures, ASY (Assembly Procedures) TST (Test Procedures).
  • Define and detail work scopes for repair, RRP.
  • Investigate non-conformances and provide technical disposition. Identify root cause of any technical problems and propose solutions to ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented to prevent reoccurrence at source.
  • Provide input and support improvements to processes or work instructions.
  • Ensures that assignments conform to TechnipFMC BPMS, guidelines and specifications.
  • Engineering disposition of incoming E&I systems ensuring good workmanship and compliance to industry regulations and standards.   Identify, conduct or coordinate snagging and tagging work.
  • Subsea/surface senior engineers and designers, manufacturing, operations, project management team, other discipline engineers.
  • Has customer contact with supervision from more senior engineers

 

Main Accountabilities:

  • Provides the highest level of expertise on technical-technological solutions and engineering innovations. 
  • Defines engineering solutions within tenders. 
  • Identifies and analyses risks associated with engineering tasks. 
  • Efficiently contributes to the client relations through presentations, meetings, interfaces, etc. 
  • Supports the knowledge development within the discipline by providing guidance, trainings and mentoring to engineers. 
  • Ensures that engineering documents meet the general quality requirements, codes, and standards. 
  • Ensures the state-of-the-art competencies in the discipline. 
  • Contributes to the definition of the discipline strategy by communicating to the Group via seminars and working sessions with peers by identifying areas of development and defining targeted skills and knowledge to be developed and/or acquired. 

You are meant for this job if you have:

  • BS degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent with eight years’ experience in the field as a minimum 
  • Advanced technical skills in engineering 
  • Advanced project management skills 
  • Skillful communicator and negotiator 
  • Excellent training and mentoring skills 
  • Advanced planning, organizational and problem-solving skills 
  • Understanding business challenges and what drives customer values 
  • Excellent command of English
