Job Purpose

The SR Controls Engineer will support the design and optimization of subsea control systems for offshore oil and gas projects. This role will work closely with global engineering and tendering teams, contributing to technical solutions, equipment selection, documentation development, and client proposal activities. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with teams in both Brazil and Houston on a variety of international projects and tenders.

Job Description

  • Design and optimize subsea oil & gas control systems.
  • Review client technical specifications and translate requirements into engineering deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including:
    • Scope of Supply
    • Electrical Schematics
    • Distribution Schematics
    • Technical Documentation
    • Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Perform high-level interface checks and scope optimization activities.
  • Select appropriate equipment and part numbers from company catalogs.
  • Support tendering activities and collaborate with engineering managers, portfolio leads, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to solutions involving subsea control modules, instrumentation, electrical and hydraulic distribution systems, and interfaces between subsea and topside control systems

You are meant for this job if:

  • Degree in Electrical, Automation, Controls, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields.
  • CREA
  • Advanced English communication skills.
  • Experience with subsea controls, topside controls, automation, or electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, and offshore oil & gas applications.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, schematics, and BOMs.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Adaptability and willingness to work in a dynamic, global environment.
  • Previous experience in subsea oil & gas is highly desirable.
