Job Purpose

Responsible for the successful execution of the assigned project package by coordinating all the disciplines involved such as engineering, procurement, inspection, testing, transport, etc., in accordance with TechnipFMC QHSES corporate policies, contractual commitments (design data, codes, classes etc.), schedule and budget.

Job Description

Configure and version industrial automation software (TechnipFMC proprietary systems: UCOS, InControl, SmartTool, and network components).
Create and maintain build, test, and deployment pipelines.
Produce and release technical configuration documentation within company tools.
Conduct bench software tests and support plant startup activities.
Participate in planning meetings, SCRUM ceremonies, and Lean initiatives.
Provide support to development, QA, and operations teams.
Perform field support activities, including commissioning and after-sales, as required by local labor regulations.
Participate in team strategy meetings.
Support team management with budgeting, project distribution, and demand planning.
Develop and configure computer network architectures enabling communication between topside and subsea equipment, applying cybersecurity standards and best practices.
Participate in rotation across different squads within the software team.

Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Control & Automation Engineering; Mechatronics Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Electronic Engineering; Electrical Engineering

Experience in software configuration for industrial automation, participating in development projects, parameterization, and commissioning of automation equipment.
Strong command of control systems and configuration tools.
Experience executing software tests and supporting field commissioning.
Solid knowledge of Control & Automation processes, including instrumentation, I/Os, sensors, actuators, and plant control logic, ensuring software configuration accurately reflects equipment operation.
Experience delivering projects with agile methodologies (priority given to SCRUM).
Experience with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus).
Experience implementing industrial network projects following cybersecurity standards and best practices.
Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex industrial network architectures, including redundancy, segmentation, VLANs, and industrial DMZs.

Mandatory Knowledge

  • Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of UNIX-based operating systems

Desired Knowledge

  • Industrial network monitoring platforms (e.g., SCADA)
  • Source code versioning with Git
  • Familiarity with JIRA

Additional Desired Skills & Competencies

  • Programming in high-level languages: Python, MATLAB/Simulink
  • Programming in mid-level languages: C, C++, C#, Java
  • Knowledge of organizational and quality methodologies: 5S, ITIL
  • CCNA certification
  • ISA 62443 certification
  • Experience with source code versioning
  • Knowledge of Lean philosophy
  • Experience in computer networks and cybersecurity (desired)
  • Knowledge of subsea equipment (desired)
  • Experience in IT/OT integration, ensuring security and availability
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Wireshark, SNMP, NetFlow, traffic analysis tools)
  • Experience with virtualization and containers (VMware, Hyper-V, Docker, Kubernetes) applied to automation and industrial networks
