Job Purpose

Develop and implement automated improvement solutions and new projects on equipment with automatic production processes, aiming for better operational performance and the lowest possible rejection rate, while complying with Quality, Safety, and Client Requirements standards.

Job Description

  • Responsible for leading Control and Automation Engineering in projects, being the single point for the scope, both internally and with the Customer.
  • Ensure functional requirements, quality, ‘design for safety’ and engineering delivery time are according to expectations.
  • Review and approve projects electrical, optical, hydraulic schematics, as well as related subsea distribution systems.
  • Generate, review, or approve Control System documentation within project, as specifications, schematics, test, and qualification procedures, among others.
  • Define project architecture solution to effectively comply with customer’s requirements.
  • Lead sub-system Design Review, granting sub-system design freeze.
  • Participation in Design Review meetings, ensuring that the Client's requirements, quality, and good practices are met.
  • Creation and management of project activities and sub-activities, making sure execution complies with man-hours and technical solution budgeted.
  • Ensure the correct interfaces of control system equipment within project.
  • Grant the smooth stream among engineering, planning, procurement, project management, industrial engineering, and quality groups.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation or others
  • CREA
  • Good knowledge and  experience on subsea control system engineering.
  • Knowledge of overall subsea production systems, specially control system.
  • Knowledge of International standards related to subsea control systems (API7F, API6A, etc.)
  • Knowledge of risk matrix and risk assessment capabilities.
  • Advanced English.
  • Intermediate Office package
  • Differentials:

Postgraduate degree in the Oil and Gas Engineering area, Subsea Production Systems or Control and Automation. 

Having worked in the oil and gas sector, with experience in different scopes within control systems in a subsea project (e.g. control and automation cabin, HPU, electrical and hydraulic distribution systems, subsea controller, etc.).
