Job Description

•    Perform as a key leader in the Internal Audit and Controls team with ability to lead our SOX 404 Assertion program. 
•    Develops the annual SOX and audit plan in conjunction with the VP Internal Audit and Controls. 
Manages the team and develops skillsets. 
•    Provide independent and objective assurance to Senior Management on the adequacy of the control environment. 
•    Lead risk-based control assignments on under the guidance of the VP Internal Audit and Controls.
•    Evaluate SOX deficiencies and collaborate with management to remediate these issues, identifying root causes and   developing action plans.
•    Present results to executive management.
•    Work effectively with external auditors.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting; Masters Degree preferred
  • Advanced english and Portuguese
  •  Strong experience in Internal or External Audit, Internal Control or Finance
  • Strong supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of GAAP and IFRS accounting, including percent of complete project accounting
  • Focused continuous improvement on work, self and department to provide value-added results
  • Ability to educate others, including management, on internal control issues
  • Experience presenting and discussing results with executive leadership
  • High level of maturity, independent judgement, adaptability, and professionalism, including the ability to remain calm and productive under pressure.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to change.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Possesses a positive “can-do” attitude and strong sense of ownership over duties and responsibilities; proactively assumes responsibility and consistently delivers quality work on time while managing multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well both as a team and independently.
  • Superior attention to detail and organization skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with various internal and external parties, including senior leadership.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and summarize complex matters succinctly and accurately.
