Senior EPCI Operations Engineer

Job Purpose

• Develops and ensures implementation of Operation Execution Plan on a given project, in accordance with Industry and Company Standards, Project Execution Plan and Project Installation Procedures.

Job Description

• Coordinate with VSO (Vessel Spoolbase Operation) the execution of tasks assigned by the Lead Engineer, which are generally focused on technical issues and may require administrative, project management, and field functions on deck.
• Be familiar with the procedures related to the scope of activities that the vessel will perform during the offshore rotation period.
• Support the preparation of change management documentation (MOCs), port call management plans, quick reports, compliance with pre-deployment and installation checklists, and other project documentation as needed.
• Support the OCM in project-related activities that may arise.
• Participate in daily ship meetings, "morning calls," Toolbox talks, and any other meetings organized to discuss ship operations and the way forward (e.g., SIMOPS meetings and meetings for transferring lines to the FPSO).
• Monitor the progress of operations, participate in coordinating activities on board with VSO and OCM to ensure reliable execution, with safety, quality, and according to the project schedule.
• Maintain close communication with the office, reporting problems and events on board.
• Act as HSE Leader on board, being safety-conscious and focused, promoting our HSE culture.
• Hold readiness meetings and interact with the Logistics Base, planning mobilization, demobilization, and rigid line spooling activities.
• Synergy with International Logistics, attending to any demands related to vessel customs clearance and material import/export.
• Coordinate with OneFleet on asset-related issues.
• Be the focal point of contact with project subcontractors (e.g., Seafastening/lashing of cargo, providers of ferries/barges and crew boats, waste management, supply).
• Facilitate communication between foreigners and locals whenever necessary.
• Before offshore execution, participate in HAZIDs and constructability reviews.
• Capture lessons learned on board and, after project completion, participate in lessons learned sessions to share and disseminate them within the department.
• Review the DPR (Daily Progress Report) with the VSO and support its correct completion in synergy with the Performance Team.
• Keep your medical and training certificates valid, ensuring fitness for offshore work.
• Ensure that all necessary information to produce task completion and offshore execution reports is compiled and updated.
• Produce the offshore demobilization report covering the offshore rotation period.
• Assist in interfacing with the MWS (Mariner Warranty Surveyor) on board whenever requested by the VSO.

You are meant for this job if:

• Complete education in Engineering. Preferably - Naval, Mechanical, and Production.
• Advanced English
• Develop, analyze, and execute subsea installation operations, coordinating with various interfaces such as the EPCI project team, onboard teams, clients, etc., ensuring the safety and efficiency of activities.
• Knowledge in rigid pipeline laying scope
• Knowledge in Simulation and Modeling Software: Such as ANSYS or MATLAB for engineering analyses and simulations. 
• Knowledge in Document Management Software: Such as SharePoint to manage and share project documents. 
• Knowledge in Subsea Engineering:
• Experience in Offshore Engineering
• Specific certifications for the offshore sector, such as BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training), T-HUET (Tropical Helicopter Underwater Escape Training), and other safety and technical certifications.
• Knowledge of specific regulations and compliance for offshore operations, both national and international.
• Experience in coordinating and managing subcontractors, ensuring that all suppliers and service providers meet project requirements.
• Experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks: For creating and reviewing technical drawings and engineering projects. 
• Experience in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project: For project scheduling and management. 
• Experience in Simulation and Modeling Software: Such as ANSYS or MATLAB for engineering analyses and simulations. 
• Experience in Document Management Software: Such as SharePoint to manage and share project documents.
