Job Purpose

As an Engineer in the Strategy Department in Brazil, your primary role is to leverage your technical expertise and strategic insight to drive the company’s long-term growth and sustainability. You will analyze O&G and Energy trends, gather market information, evaluate business needs, and develop strategic initiatives that align with the TechnipFMC’s goals. Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that engineering solutions are integrated into the broader business strategy, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and support TechnipFMC to reach its vision.

Job Description

The Strategy Engineer will play a pivotal role through the following responsibilities (supporting or leading):

- Strategic Analysis and Planning, conducting analyses of trends, scenarios, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.

- Develop strategic plans and initiatives that align with the long-term goals.

- Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between technical solutions and strategic objectives.

- Assess, or support, the feasibility and impact studies of new projects, business and technologies.

- Monitor and report on progress, addressing any issues or challenges that arise.

- Communicate strategic plans and initiatives to key stakeholders (Brazil and abroad).

You are meant for this job if:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Desirable: MBA, Postgraduate, or Master’s in Strategy, Management, Administration, or Finance

Languages:

  • Advanced English and Portuguese - fluent

Skills:

  • Mandatory: Advanced Office Suite
  • Desirable: PowerBI and Salesforce

Experience:

  • Experience in the Energy and/or Oil & Gas Market
  • Management of interfaces and cross-functional scopes (local and global)
  • Knowledge/experience in EPCI, SPS, SURF, or Vessel Projects
  • Economic-financial modeling, case studies, and scenario analysis
  • Knowledge/experience in the Strategy Department
