Job Purpose
Performs varied and more complex assembly and tests of mechanical/ hydraulic assemblies
Job Description
• Assembles and tests assemblies according to specifications. Applies advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment in area of expertise
• Completes required test documentation including test reports, failed test reports and NCRs. Assists with FAT’s (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SIT’s (System Integration Tests)
• Assists in preparing, maintaining and utilizing test stations and test equipment for factory and system acceptance testing
• Uses material handling equipment to move parts, components and sub-assemblies from one work or storage area to another as required
• Collects and inputs information in specific systems for cost tracking purposes
• Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area
• Assists more experienced Assembly Technicians as assigned and supports in training less experienced colleagues
You are meant for this job if:
• High school diploma or equivalent technical diploma
• 3 years of experience in field
• Proficiency to read and interpret drawings and technical documentation in assembly
• Knowledge/use of complex tolls, equipment and techniques (e.g. FAT, Gas testing, etc.)
