Job Purpose

To prepare, install, and maintain controls-related equipment for subsea hardware. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Topside Routers
  • SPCTU
  • Sensor Simulators
  • SCM
  • WOCM
  • WAMS
  • HMI
  • G2i Batteries
  • PCR
  • HCR
  • ESD
  • IR/CR
  • Smartool Laptops

Job Description

  • Install, test, and repair new and reworked TechnipFMC products (equipment and tools) related to controls in subsea installations.
  • Collaborate within a team to safely and successfully install various subsea hardware components.
  • Address customer comments, requests, and complaints professionally.
  • Provide sales support by ensuring customers are fully informed about all aspects of the job.
  • Complete and submit Field Service Orders (FSO) and Field Spare Parts Tickets (FSPT) in a timely manner.
  • Communicate and report all quality issues and documentation (equipment and procedural defects) to Service Management.
  • Finalize field documentation upon completion of each service job.
  • Offer project support and resolve project-related issues to minimize downtime.
  • Prepare and complete safety documentation, promoting safe work practices.
  • Lead others in task execution in accordance with procedures, codes, and standards.
  • May act as on-site supervisor for the field service crew and report to Service Management.
  • Assist in developing procedural requirements for current and future jobs.

You are meant for this job if:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent technical qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a field service technician role related to controls.
  • Advanced knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
    • Subsea Controls Systems
    • Commissioning and Topside Controls Systems
    • Subsea Equipment
    • IWOCS/Hydraulics Equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic drawings.
  • Capability to perform moderately complex calculations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and teaching skills related to technical tools and instruments.
  • Knowledge of relevant theories, practices, and internal business processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
