Job Purpose
Within the framework of company's values, policies, and contract commitments (including HSES, quality, time & cost), the Package Manager is part of the Project Management Team, reports to the Project Manager and has the accountability for successful execution of the assigned package. He/She manages and coordinates several disciplines of the package that typically include Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Fabrication.
It is the Package Manager’s accountability to ensure that the package deliverables meet all project requirements including constructability and installability. He/She delivers the defined package under the Project Manager to the final Client (EPC project) and liaising with POM (iEPCI/EPCI project) for offshore transportation and installation; has no direct reports but manages and leads the resources being assigned to its package by key disciplines
Job Description
- Ensures that the package is mobilized, planned, organized, and executed in accordance with HSE, Quality, Technical, Schedule, Budget, Risk, Contract and Project Strategy objectives/requirements
- Ensures that engineering and requisitioning as well as procurement, manufacturing, subcontracting, expediting, associated testing, and logistics activities in the assigned package are developed according to schedule, man/hours, equipment, budget, contractual specifications, project requirements
- Has accountability to ensure that the delivered products meet all project requirements
- Monitor progress, identify issues and actions, and provide visibility of overall package status and package/project needs to the Package Team.
- Knows and applies TechnipFMC Quality and HSE standards, acts as a leader in creating a safety-minded and quality-driven work climate that meet project and company expectations, encourages Client satisfaction and HSE consciousness among the team
- Coordinates with Manufacturing to ensure proper and on-time start of Manufacturing
- Manages, monitors, and review the Manufacturing scope through the Project Manufacturing Managers to ensure schedule delivery of deliverable
- Coordinates any fabrication scope with fabrication teams and category managers
Additional Responsabilities
- Ensures coordination of logistics, materials, and assets management as required for the package
- Contributes to the risk reviews to identify, quantify, and manage risks and opportunities on the package
- Manages package budget, approves package related expenditures as authorized and manages costs to meet budget commitments
- Supports Project Team with commercial interfaces with Client, including Variation Orders
- Builds and maintains effective relationships with Client and other internal/external stakeholders associated with the Package (partners, subcontractors, suppliers)
- Serves as the main point of contact for the package execution with the Client under the Project Manager supervision
- Coordinates with other Package Managers to identify and address any interface issues, either internal or external, impacting the overall project scope
You are meant for this job if:
- Engineering degree or equivalent diploma
- Up to 5 years of experience in project management roles
- English level C1 minimum
- Excellent understanding of onshore and offshore/subsea projects, including relevant equipment, operations and services
- Ability to lead functional project teams and manages critical timelines with the goal to streamline and provide critical customer service
