Job Purpose
Performs detailed inventory analyses and address issues in an effort to keep system data accuracy high, excess inventory minimized, and manufacturing/fabrication plans on schedule. Plan, schedule, execute and control key support functions, manufacturing sources and suppliers to meet scheduled shipments in a quality and cost-effective manner.Monitor and schedule the flow of materials, components, assemblies, and inventory. This position reports directly to the SAP MRP Planning Manager, in the Paris/Africa Subsea Projects Organizational Unit in Paris, France.
Job Description
- Determine the sources of the components (to make or to buy) per current TechnipFMC operation sourcing strategy and enters into the system to notify manufacturing and supply chain of project demands. Initiates Project sales orders for entry into the ERP system.
- Update the manufacturing/fabrication execution plan for assigned projects to ensure that parts are produced or purchased as needed and in the proper sequence.
- Assist with the project team effort to synchronize project priorities and Engineering design release dates to ensure acceptable procurement and manufacturing schedules.
- Monitor the flow of inventory through assigned projects.
- Avoid creation of excess inventory and makes recommendations for substitutions & alternates, where possible, to use and to reduce existing inventory.
- Maintain and updates the manufacturing execution plan for assigned projects to ensure that parts are produced or purchased as needed and in the proper sequence.
- Interface with Engineering to define the manufacturing bill of material and to establish release schedules.
- Assist manufacturing and fabrication areas in prioritization efforts.
- Analyze supply and demand of inventory and long-lead parts and takes corrective actions as needed to alleviate schedule impacts or excess inventory.
- Analyze inventory for supply/demand mismatches, takes appropriate action to correct.
- Analyze and corrects excess supply orders in the ERP system.
- Review Excess Inventory of Project and Non-Project parts, recommends actions to be taken.
You are meant for this job if:
- You hold a Bachelor's in related field, or equivalent years of experience.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience performing material planning, inventory analysis, supply/demand analysis and reconciliation, and/or manufacturing scheduling in materials planning, scheduling, production control or procurement with working knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or MRP (Material Resource Planning) systems.
- Procurement knowledge, inventory and manufacturing processes, as well as a good understanding of typical ERP system capabilities, inputs, and outputs.
- Understanding of machining, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing routings and identify when changes need to be made.
- Understands system shortage reports and accurately ascertains critical path issues preventing on time delivery to Project requirement dates.
- SAP system experience and understanding in manufacturing and procurement is a plus.
- Oil&Gas background is a plus
