Job Purpose

Execute and maintain the category strategy during the procurement activities, from pre-FEED study phase until the project execution and final delivery.  Delivering best in class results for linepipe and coating procurement activities at the global level.

Job Description

 Your main responsibilities will include the following, but not limited to:

  • Collaborate  with the team to execute and implement category strategies, and standard/globalized operating procedures.
  • You will be responsible for all pricing and purchasing activities, negotiating and procurement services essential during pre-FEEDs and FEEDs study, Tenders and Projects on a global basis. You will be working closely with suppliers, internal teams and stakeholders to ensure cost-effective and timely pricing and procurement of quality products under category direction.
  • Lead the end-to-end procurement process for subsea linepipe and coating, from initial Request for Quotation to contract award and support during the project phase until the final delivery.
  • Prepare and review contractual documents, including pre-award commitment documents, purchase orders, service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements, while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify opportunities, improvement initiatives, especially cost reductions, engineering/specification changes that can result in a clearly identifiable advantage in functionality, total cost, quality, delivery, logistics and/or currencies. 
  • Manage and execute the procurement activities for subsea linepipe and coating, from initial RFQ (Request for Quotation), bidders list formulation, receiving offers and commercial bid evaluation, clarifications with suppliers, award recommendations, terms and conditions, contract management, to the award of pre-bid agreement, LOI or final contract and continue support during the project execution phase to make sure of the on-time delivery within the agreed budget and zero quality and HSE issue. 

You are meant for this job if:

 

  • Technical and/or commercial degree minimum at Master level. 
  • Minimum 5-7 years knowledge and experience in supply chain, engineering or operation, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. 
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to take lead and execute a strategy that must suit different regions and requirements.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND/OR PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS:

  • Solid understanding of subsea linepipe & coating materials, spec. and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process : Line Pipe, Coating
  • Knowledge of Commercial discussion and strong Negotiations skills
  • Knowledge of Contract Management and Subcontracts
  • Promote the proper use of procurement systems & tools such as GEOS, Ariba, Contracts Workspace.
