Job Purpose

The Assembly and Test Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the assembly and testing processes of products to ensure they meet quality standards and production goals. Managing a team of assembly technicians, coordinating production schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Promotes and practices on LEAN Manufacturing through implementation of Kaizen/Continuous Improvement activities.

Job Description

  • Supervise and manage the assembly and test team to ensure efficient and accurate production.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet deadlines and optimize workflow.
  • Monitor production output and quality control to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Train new employees on assembly techniques, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the assembly and testing processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and quality control, to ensure a seamless production process.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the assembly area.
  • Establishes employees’ objectives, coordinate and implement training internally and/or externally and carry out Reward and Disciplinary Action as required
  • Drives the team to meet department objectives in SQDC through LEAN and stabilized processes

You are meant for this job if:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and efficiency enhancement techniques.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team to meet and exceed production targets
