Job Description
This role provides strategic leadership for finance operations within the Global Business Services (GBS) organization, with a primary focus on establishing and advancing Project Accounting and FinOps capabilities. It is accountable for partnering with global stakeholders to drive process standardization across regions and ensuring the seamless transition of standardized work into GBS for efficient, scalable, and consistent execution.
Success in this role requires a seasoned finance professional with deep expertise in project accounting, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic global environment. By building these capabilities and fostering coordination across GBS and retained teams, the role enhances transparency, enables data-driven decision-making, and maximizes value delivery across the enterprise.
You are meant for this job if:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related major; or equivalent work experience.
- 10-12 years of finance and accounting experience, preferably in an international environment.
- Strong understanding of Project lifecycle (Project Set-up, WBS Management etc.)
- Strong exposure with Project Accounting processes and US GAAP revenue recognition standards e.g. ASC 606
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven change management capability.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management experience, including collaboration with senior leaders.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to operate in a fast paced environment with evolving priorities, and navigate ambiguity.
- Superior analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication to train users, collaborate with stakeholders, and document processes.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to manage system updates, enhancements, and user onboarding efficiently.
