Job Purpose

We are looking for a Workshop Technician to join our team located in Veenoord / Nieuw-Amsterdam (The Netherlands).  This role of a Workshop Technician executes inspection, repair and/or maintenance activities for TechnipFMC and/or customer equipment in the workshop in line with Quality strategy, TechnipFMC Policies, Quality management system processes/procedures, customers/ legal/applicable industry standards requirements. In this position you report to the workshop manager who is the main vocal point for the workshop internally and externally.

Job Description

  • Assembles and tests assemblies according to specifications. Masters basic skills and some advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment in the area of expertise
  • Completes required test documentation including test reports, failed test reports and NCRs
  • Cleans components after assembly according to FMCTI specifications and verbal/written instructions
  • Uses material handling equipment to move parts, components and sub-assemblies from one work or storage area to another as required
  • Collects and inputs information in specific systems for cost tracking purposes
  • Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area
  • Assists more experienced Assembly Technicians as assigned
  • Disassembling and cleaning of equipment and tools
  • Perform inspections of equipment and tools
  • Create inspection reports
  • Assembling of equipment and tools
  • Pressure testing of equipment and tools
  • Execute refurbishment and maintenance to equipment and tools
  • Execute the logistic movements dedicated to preparation, execution and finishing your work orders
  • Practices good housekeeping in assigned area and properly disposes of waste according to health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Promptly reports any operational problems or Quality / Safety issues with machinery, tools, or equipment to the Workshop Manager (and record in local Start card system).
     

You are meant for this job if:

  • (V)MBO/TL Technik or similar
  • Experience, preferably in Energy industry
  • Adequate language skills in Dutch and English (both verbal and writing)
  • Experience working in a workshop or technical environment
  • Experience to work with hand tools, power tools etc.
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adapt to a constantly changing environment

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills ·
  • Must be a team player, however be able to work independently on more varied and complex tasks with limited supervision to successfully meet the expectations
  • Ability to be able to work under pressure
  • Great sense of responsibility and belief that safety comes first
  • Ability to prioritize activities in consultation with workshop manager
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and coaching and respond appropriately
