Job Purpose

We are looking for a Umbilicals Proposal Engineer to join the team in Newcastle.

The Proposals Department is key to securing new Umbilical business for the Company in conjunction with the relevant Sales Business Units. The Proposal Engineer is in charge of coordinating various internal stakeholders across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and the Business Unit, in order to develop the execution plan, schedule, risk register and commercial proposal response to Client Invitations-To-Bid (ITT) for TechnipFMC Umbilical (TU) products.

Job Description

As allocated, to generate and submit Budgetary and Firm Proposal in accordance with the Proposal Procedure.
As allocated, to create schedule/commercial proposals as response to the ITT.
Contribute to the Proposals Obeya routine through regular updates to the boards and attendance of meetings
Coordinate the assessment of Manufacturing Readiness Levels through the risk review process, and manage risks through the RMA system.
To ensure PO’s received reflect both client and TU requirements in respect of scope of supply and scope of work for the specified lump sum price.
To provide commercial l guidance in the translation of Client enquiries, orders, contracts, to internal departments.
Organise hand-over meetings after contract award with the relevant project management team.
To provide assistance to others and the relevant Sales Business Unit Development Department and to other departments within TU and TechnipFMC Group as and where required.
To monitor, register and expedite progress of existing Proposals.
Contribute and participate in the department improvement, development and implementation of company management, quality and HSE procedures.

You are meant for this job if:

Degree or equivalent in an engineering related subject or demonstrable industry specific experience in a sales/project client oriented role.
Knowledge of Umbilical product highly desirable.
