Job Purpose

As Tender Engineer, Measurement you will be responsible for generating quotes for Metering Systems and Spare Parts (Aftermarket) product line. These responsibilities include but are not limited to reviewing customer specifications, identifying the scope, coordinating with sales / customer, issuing RFQs to vendors for cost inputs, preparing proposals, entering sales orders and coordinating through till delivery.

Tender Engineer, Measurement

  • Review customer RFQ specifications to understand technical requests and parameters.
  • Develop specifications for buyout items and obtain competitive quotes from third-party vendors directly or with help of designated purchasing team.
  • Coordinate with salesperson responsible for the specific customer/inquiry by maintaining regular communication and sharing regular updates.
  • Process and enter Purchase Orders into the approved system. 
  • Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) for all activities Integrated from Proposal to handover for execution.
  • Maximize inter-business unit collaboration with virtual team support and lead effective overall co-ordination.
  • Organize the technical and commercial quote structure based on the customer RFQ expectations, including coordination for trade compliance, legal commercial terms & conditions, bid bonds etc.
  • Work with product management providing knowledge and input from your experience with customers on applications and field issues into new product development ideas.

Job Description

Education/Experience

  • Degree in Instrumentation/Mechanical Engineering or Business.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in engineering, procurement/supply chain, or spare parts coordination, ideally in oil and gas industry
  • Knowledge of PC, Windows Office Software.  Strong verbal/written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of cost estimation and accounting concepts.
  • Detail oriented and analytical mindset.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a changing, fast-paced work environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Industry Standards such as API, ISO, etc.
  • Shall have Excellent interpersonal skills to work in a multidisciplinary and global team.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience in procurement, particularly with issuing RFQs to third-party vendors
  • Experience in working closely with technical staff.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment. 
  • Occasional visit to factory environment with necessary safety gears
