Job Purpose

  • The Yard Foreman will be responsible for all yard activity and quay side load-out and for the management of the Riggers. The Yard Foreman reports to the Shore Base Manager.

Job Description

  • Coordinate the overall yard activities and transfers to/from the yard;
  • Ensure that all yard activities especially rigging operations are undertaken as per Technipfmc HSE and Quality standard and procedures;
  • Manage the team of riggers, ensure that the rigging team is briefed on the scope of work and carried out Toolbox talks at the beginning of every shift;
  • Maintain the house keeping of the yard, ensure that all potential hazards are removed or control measures put in place and maintained;
  • Ensure the correct storage and maintenance of all yard equipment;
  • Supervise the subcontractors on the yard;
  • Ensure that all lifting rigging are in good condition and are certified prior to being put in use;
  • Ensure that all project rigging is color coded

You are meant for this job if:

  • 7/8-year experience in Yard activities
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • accredited Rigging Supervisory/advanced certification or equivalent
  • accredited Rigging and Lifting certification or equivalent
  • accredited Banksman Slinger certification or equivalent
