Job Purpose

Executes activities of the Project Security Plan taking into account Company Security standards at project and site level to safeguard Company Personnel, Operations, Assets and/or reputation.

Job Description

• Assists in the implementation of Security processes 

• Provides security advice to staff to promote a secure working environment and in accordance with the project or site specific requirements

• Implements and monitors Security plans to meet local and Company Operating Procedures and Standards

• Ensures adequate Security training is in place for relevant employees and contractors

• Coordinates internal/external security investigations upon request and in full and permanent transparency with HR/ Legal and Security 

• May coordinate and manage a local security team

• Conducts security audits and ensures the correct follow up of any possible recommendations

• Participates in the implementation of a Site/Project Emergency Response System

• Liaises with client security department for day to day operations

You are meant for this job if:

• At least five years of Security or related experience in a manufacturing, oilfield or similar environment 

• Proven experience in management of security operations on site or projects

• Proven experience in Incident Management and Investigation of Security Incidents

• Strong problem solving skills

• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and proficiency in English (written and spoken)

• Communication, interpersonal skills and proficiency in Portuguese

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines  

• Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background screening

• Must be able to successfully pass a drug screening test

• Must be able to successfully pass a reference check

• Ex-military or ex-police candidates must be able to provide proof of honorable discharge •
