Job Purpose

Responsible for conducting structural analysis of subsea oil production systems.

Job Description

  • Perform structural analysis of tools, equipment, and subsea structures used in the O&G industry using analytical (hand calculations) and numerical (finite element analysis) methods;
  • Prepare technical reports in accordance with industry standards and applicable technical specifications; 
  • Provide technical support and advice on the scope of structural integrity to Maintenance Engineering, Installation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Technical Assistance;
  • Provide engineering proposals related to structural integrity scope;

You are meant for this job if:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Engineering or Civil Engineering.
  • CREA
  • Portuguese (fluent/native) and English (advanced)
  • Experience in structural analysis of mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of structural analysis standards, such as ASME and DNV
  • ANSYS or Abaqus mandatory.
  • Knowledge of structural analysis, both static and dynamic, of subsea systems - desirable.
  • Python, SpaceClaim, Mathcad, SACS or OrcaFlex, Desirable
