Subsea Drilling RCA Engineer II

Job Purpose

Provides engineering solutions for global SDS team, in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures, processes, schedules, and budget, with a continuous concern for quality, targets, and customer satisfaction.

Job Description

• Support execution of global RCAs demand and engineering work (including hand calculations) to reduce/eliminate recurrence.
• Supports the service centers and supply chain to mitigate quality issues.
• Supports Parsable template documentation and trouble-shooting for offshore installation activities.
• Engages with the entire value stream to ensure effective cost, manufacturing, and operation.

You are meant for this job if:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• CREA
• Advanced English
• Offshore drilling related experience preferred, able to read and interpret rig data.
• Able to read, interpret and prepare technical designs, documentation and quality tools such as 5 whys, fishbone diagram, fault tree analysis, 8D methodology.
• Able to work with a global team to solve and implement complex solutions into an existing product line.
• Foundational awareness of relevant industry standards related to SDS (API 5DP, TH Hill DS-1, etc.)
• Ability to use 2D and 3D modeling software to analyze downtime events (NX and AutoCAD preferred)
• Ability to understand and interpret large data sets (PowerBI preferred)
