Job Purpose
Are you passionate about driving efficient information management in complex projects? As our Document Lead, you’ll be the strategic partner to the project team, ensuring seamless documentation processes, compliance with contractual requirements, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
You’ll be a point of contact for our clients on all matters related to project documentation and information management.
Job Description
- Lead and implement document control structures and mechanical completion requirements across projects.
- Plan and monitor documentation activities in collaboration with project planners and engineering teams.
- Supervise and support document control teams, ensuring alignment with TechnipFMC procedures.
- Interface directly with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure documentation compliance.
- Provide regular reports to project management, highlighting documentation status and areas of concern.
- Define documentation responsibility matrices and contribute to variation order requests.
- Train Document Controllers on EDMS and ensure proper project close-out documentation.
- Creates customer records and document numbers as required and prepare documents for transmittal to client according to project specific procedures
- Assists with development, maintenance and improvement of departmental / projects document control work processes
- Checks document and transmittal quality according to check list for document control
- Manages supplier documentation
You are meant for this job if:
- High School Diploma (Bachelor’s degree in Information Management preferred)
- Minimum 2-6 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
