Job Purpose

The Senior Installation Engineer is responsible for preparing and executing installation engineering work packages, ensuring safe, high-quality, and cost-effective project delivery. The role supports studies, tenders, and project execution through the development of installation engineering solutions and procedures.

Job Description

  • Lead installation engineering activities for projects, tenders, and studies.
  • Develop installation methodologies, procedures, and technical deliverables.
  • Review and validate engineering deliverables for quality and accuracy.
  • Support constructability, readiness, risk, and design reviews.
  • Provide technical support for fabrication, testing, offshore operations, and vessel activities.
  • Coordinate equipment readiness, vessel mobilization, and demobilization.
  • Interface with project teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and operational standards.
  • Act as Lead Offshore Engineer and technical focal point during offshore campaigns.
  • Manage risk assessments, Management of Change (MOC), and project reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement and support engineering standardization.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers.

 

You are meant for this job if:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of offshore installation engineering experience.
  • Experience on multidisciplinary offshore projects.
  • Strong knowledge of subsea installation operations and vessel activities.
  • Ability to independently manage engineering work packages.
  • Offshore certification (e.g., BOSIET) as required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Skills

  • Knowledge of SURF and SPS systems and offshore installation methods.
  • Familiarity with vessel operations and offshore execution.
  • Experience with risk assessment and Management of Change (MOC).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of engineering standards and industry best practices.
  • Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
  • Understanding of tendering, contractual, and commercial processes
