Job Purpose
The Engineer undertaking this position will be responsible for installation analysis activities and should liaise with the project team and client do develop sound and safe installation methodologies and define allowable sea states for offshore operations.
Job Description
- Analysis for the offshore installation activities (flexible flowline and risers, Umbilicals, HLFs, Rigid Spools and Rigid pipelines...)
- Analysis of the different activities of the subsea structure installation (Manifolds, Protection Structures, PLETs, ILTs, Mudmats, Piles, Deployment Frames, ...)
- Interface with the Project Team
- Offshore support for the ongoing installation activities
- Write technical project documents (installation engineering memo and installation analysis report)
- Liaise with Project Team for project data, installation feasibility and reporting to clients
- Liaise with Project Team and Client to clarify installation analysis concerns
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Aerospace Engineerign or similar
- Minimum 3 years' experience
- Competency in design and installation analysis software (i.e. OrcaFlex) mandatory
- Programming knowledge is desirable
- Sound understanding of engineering principles, high problem-solving capabilities and strong desire to pursue excellence
- Strong knowledge of structural and fluid mechanics
- Strong knowledge in statistics
- Shall be self-motivated and have well developed interpersonal skills to work in a multicultural environment
- A demonstrable commitment to HSE and Quality
- Fluent in English
