Planning & Scheduling Engineer

Job Purpose
- Responsible for the effective support and control of all Engineering Planning activities on projects.
- Provides Support to Engineering teams for visual management and Obeya methodologies before and during project execution.
- Effective management and control of all Engineering Planning activities in pursuit of Predictable Execution.
- Includes both strategic and tactical planning activities to ensure on time delivery and execution of Engineering work packages across the REMS organization.
- Works to avoid disruptions in engineering execution by managing capacity constraints across the backlog and forecast demand, ensuring On Time Delivery to our internal/external customers.
- Ensures the synchronization of delivery schedules across value streams.
- Contributes towards, maintaining and implementing corporate QA & HSES Management System objectives and.
Job Description
- Develops a Schedule compliant with the selected execution strategy.
- Plans in order to mitigate risks and reduce costs.
- Defines and optimizes the necessary resources (E-P-C-I).
- Defines the Project Breakdown Structures.
- Supports Client approval process of the Schedule Baseline, progress claimed or milestones achievement.
- Increases Project team members awareness of the Project Milestones, main durations and critical paths.
- Monitors and controls the project status, to detect any delay and to propose corrective actions.
- Prepares/consolidates reports including consolidated E-Milestones, schedule analyses, project controls, and resource planning as required.
- Provides Project Feedback and Lessons Learned to improve the Planning & Scheduling methods and provide input to the statistics of Planning Department
- Meets performance goals for team in line with the department's goals and TechnipFMC's strategic goals.
- Works with management to implement and support global policies, regional policies, and best practices for Engineering Project Planning and Project Management/Project Coordination in support of successful execution of projects and True North Industrialization.
You are meant for this job if:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Engineering Planning, Project Scheduling, Project Planning or Operations.
- Professional English.
- Relevant experience in Subsea Oil and Gas industry preferred.
- Primavera P6 scheduling experience required.
- General Knowledge of “planning and monitoring” of the various projects.
- Knowledge about the LEAN Processes, preferred qualifications and experiences.
- Ability to analyse trends or deviations from standards and recommend creative and unique cross functional solutions.
- Able to present data and facts in a clear and consistent manner.
