Job Purpose

  • Technically assist TechnipFMC group business units on the design of flexible pipes for commercial projects.
  • Play the role of interface between the business units and R&D disciplines on queries & studies related to flexible pipe during the different phases of the projects (design, manufacturing, installation & service).

Job Description

  • Assist commercial projects in short term requests.

• Carry out studies and design on non-standard flexible pipe systems or presenting specificities which are not fully addressed by the available design rules (material selection, strength of materials, numerical simulation, dynamic analysis of flexible risers, thermal & diffusion calculations

• Define action plans aimed at responding to the problems encountered based on available documentation and in consultation with other departments of the R&D center

• For activities requiring testing:

o Define the required test protocols and means,

o Prepare and monitor the implementation,

o Interpret the test results results

• While managing assistance requests:

o Keep stakeholders informed of the progress of their requests,

o Provide argued answers to questions received

You are meant for this job if:

• Possess BS degree in mechanical or materials engineering with or without experience in flexible pipe domain • Proficiency in English (oral & written) • Solid basis in mechanical sizing & numerical simulation • Good communication skills • Good adaptability and capacity to manage simultaneous subjects respecting the due dates • problem-solving skills • Service/Customer oriented • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
