Job Purpose
The Regional Security Manager is responsible for their designated Region (APAC). Appointed Security Coordinators / Managers and Focal Points, have a functional reporting line into the Regional Security Manager. He/she works linearly with the other Regional Security Managers, the GSOC, the Senior Security Manager and the Executive Security Coordinator.
Job Description
- Executes role and responsibilities as specified within Security Global Practice Standards and in the overall interests of the business.
- Implement and execute the Security Global Practice Standards within their assigned region.
- Conduct Quality Assurance and Quality Control by evaluating the performance of Local / Project Security Managers and Security Coordinators.
- Manage, train and mentor Local Security Managers and Local Security Coordinators within their region.
- Develop and maintain exchanges and communication with regional Security counterparts (Partners – Vendors – Clients – Contractors).
- Supports Projects by conducting Security Threat, Risk and Vulnerability Assessments, advise and implement cost-effective security solutions
- Ensure annual ISPS Port Facility Audits are conducted and that any deficiencies are remedied in line with the ISPS code and in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Collect and analyse Security information to identify new, or changing threats & risks that can affect company Personnel, Operations, Assets and / or Reputation within their region.
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise to Regional and Local business leaders.
- Conduct investigations into Security Incidents that produce meaningful results in a cost-efficient manner.
- Educate personnel on Threats and Risks and subsequent prevention and mitigation measures.
- Support the Global Security Director as directed and when required on company-wide initiatives and other projects as relevant.
- Maintains administration related to the above tasks and responsibilities.
You are meant for this job if:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a related discipline i.e. Criminal Justice, Security Management, and / or substantial proven progressive experience and responsibility (minimum of 5 years) in a security management role, preferably within the Oil & Gas Industry.
- In possession of a valid Subject Matter qualification such ASIS CPP or CSMP (or equivalent).
- ISPS PFSO qualified.
- Proven experience in conducting Security Threat, Risk and Vulnerability Assessments.
- Proven experience in mentoring a team of geographically dispersed members.
- Possess a developed view of the region’s geopolitical, political, economic, and social drivers of security risks.
- Proven experience in threat based and intelligence led security
- Proven experience in designing and implementing cost-effective integrated Security Risk reduction strategies and solutions.
- Proven experience in collecting and analyzing information.
- Proven experience in incident and crisis management and the investigation of security incidents.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background screening.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug screening test.
- Must be able to successfully pass a reference check.
- Ex-military or ex-police candidates must be able to provide proof of honorable discharge.
