Project Quality Manager (Subsea Projects)

Independently manages SPS (Subsea Production System) product/project quality involving Subsea Trees (XT), Controls, Manifolds, SDU, Flexibles, Umbilicals, SURF, etc…for the iEPCIC/EPC/Hardware-Supply Subsea projects. Ensures that the necessary Quality Management System processes are established and implemented on site in accordance with Group standards (GPS, GGL, GBPMS) and certification standards (ISO 9001, ISO 29001). Implements and monitors the quality management system in a large Subsea project involving construction/installation site/offshore, home-office operations, ensuring pro-active quality support to meet Client and quality requirements.

Job Description

  • Leads, develops, and implements strategic project-wide system audits and quality plans, as validated by the line manager
  • Maintains strong relationships with the Key and Strategic Client quality representatives to report progress and handle inquiries and issues
  • Promotes a Quality culture on the project/ site, ensuring implementation of best practices and continuous improvement of quality standards and systems
  • Participates actively in the risk assessment workshops on the project
  • Implements an effective corrective and preventive action system and tracks closure of NCRs and waiver requests
  • Assists in the definition of project objectives and metrics (KPI), analyzes performance, proposes corrective actions
  • Leads or participates in investigations to resolve quality issues
  • Facilitates the feedback process throughout the construction phase and may assist in the development and approval of site procedures, QCP’s and ITP’s

You are meant for this job if:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • More than 15 years of experience within a formal Management System
  • IRCA recognized ISO 9001 Auditor certification
  • Working knowledge of welding and nondestructive evaluation (NDE)
  • Fluent in English
  • Formal training in Root Cause Analysis, LEAN.
  • This position is only open to Malaysian nationals and/or those foreign nationals who are authorized to work & live in Malaysia having valid RPT or PR.

Additional Skills

Working knowledge of Welding, NDT, Fabrication processes, Industry standards such as API 6A, API 17D, API 17J, API 17E, ISO 9001, 29001, 19011, 10005, 10473, 17000, DNV, etc...
Experience as SAP user.
