Job Purpose

The Engineer undertaking this position will be the technical and technological referent within installation analysis discipline at country and/or regional level for development of engineering solutions and should liaise with project management team and clients engineering personnel to develop sound and safe installation methodologies for offshore operations with a permenet concern for Subsea performance standards and business development objectives.

Job Description

  • Support different offshore installation activities (Flexibles flow-line and risers, Umbilicals, HFLs, Rigid pipeline and Rigid Spools…). 
  • Support different activities of the subsea structure installation (Manifolds, Protection structures, PLETs, ILTs and …).
  • Provides technical-technological support and risk analysis as required by management within projects and installation operations.
  • Interface with project team, project management team and clients engineering personnel.
  • Efficiently contributes to the client relations (presentations, meetings, interfaces, etc.).
  • Offshore support for the on-going installation activities.
  • Perform checking of analysis works and provides advance technological and analysis solutions.
  • Liaise with Project Team and clients engineering personnel to clarify installation analysis concerns, identifies areas of improvement.
  • Provides high level technical-technological support and advice on tenders.
  • Coordinate installation design activities in his/her discipline (including sub-contractors activities) with responsibility for:
    • Mentoring
    • Design basis and analysis methodologies
    • Engineering schedules and budgets.
  • Contributes to the definition of the discipline strategy by communicating to the Group via seminars and working sessions with his/her peers:
    • Identifies areas of development.
    • Defines Targeted skills and knowledge to be developed and/or acquired.
  • Supports the knowledge development:
    • Consolidate Group experience in discipline
    • Provides guidance and training at local-regional level.
    • Propose engineering process and tool improvements, optimization, and possible innovation.
  • Ensures excellent HSE and engineering performance through application of subsea engineering rules, processes and standards in design engineering activities within project and/or operations.
  • Manages internal study projects as assigned and present papers at key conferences.

You are meant for this job if:

Must have:

  • BS degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent with 8 years of experience in offshore installation related activities.
  • Competency in design and installation analysis software (i.e. Orcaflex) is essential.
  • Expert knowledge of industry standards and state of art competencies in installation analysis.
  • Advanced technical skills in engineering and analysis.
  • Advanced project management skills
  • Skillful communicator and negociator.
  • Excellent training and mentoring skills
  • Advanced planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
