Job Purpose

Manages the team of Field Service Technicians within a geomarket to ensure the effective & timely delivery of field operation while maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, accountability and competency within the team

Job Description

  • Ensures that trained and competent personnel are available and prepared to perform service jobs within the region.
  • Line manages Field Service Technicians in maintaining and implementing schedules within established procedures and budgets, in liaison with the Services Project Managers and Services Coordinators
  • Monitors established performance indicators, including utilization, cost variance reports, offshore reports, training KPIS, & quality reports.
  • Develops action plans to address key Business objectives, with clear focus to meet the business KPIs & KSFs
  • Manage Resource allocation and utilization for direct reports across the geomarket, and ensures efficient manning levels across the respective countries
  • Maintains existing and develops relationships with clients, agents and suppliers
  • Creates/Maintains an environment of inclusivity and engagement with the technicians, ensuring they don't feel disconnected from the business
  • Promotes an open, transparent, and safe communication with the team so they feel their voices and concerns are heard and being address
  • Strong focus on instilling a safety first mindset to the front line team, and the Duty of Care approach is strongly enforced
  • Promotes strong liaison with the Technical Subject-Matter experts so that technical requirements are understood, clearly communicated, and followed, and deviations would not be allowed unless a proper MOC procedure is followed
  • Ensures that all organization activities and operations under his/her perimeter are carried out in compliance with internal policies and  applicable laws and regulations
  • Implements, challenges and improves policies, processes and procedures

Visits clients and operating sites as required to review operations, understand the working environment of the team, engaging with the individuals, and promoting a Customer Service focused approach to business

Must have:

 

  1. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/FORMAL EDUCATION:

•       Bachelor’s Degree in related field or combination of equivalent experience and education

 

  1. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

•      Strong Experience in a Field Services environment (5+ years)

  • Strong Experience in the installation of wellhead or related equipment (3+years)
  • Strong Experience managing 10+ direct reports
  • 10 to 15 years overall work experience preferably in B2B operations or services in industrial, energy, or manufacturing

  • Customer service skills - communication skills, strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage difficult conversations in a clear & empathetic manner
  • Ability to connect and build a deep and trusting relationship with employees

 

  1. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS AND/OR PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS:
  • Organized and systematic with troubleshooting and problem assessment skills. PC skills with knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.

 

  1. REQUIRED JOB KNOWLEDGE :
  • Product knowledge field operations for the portfolio of products being operated by the technicians
