Subsea Control Systems QA Test Engineer (relocation to Norway for the first 2 years)

Job Purpose
We are seeking the sharpest minds to take our world-class Subsea Production Control System technology even further. We are seeking a detail-oriented Test Engineer to ensure the quality and functionality of our subsea control system products during the Extended Factory Acceptance Test phase. This role involves designing, performing and validating test executions during the system integration stage, ensuring the products meet the quality, reliability, and performance standards expected from TechnipFMC as technology leader for the energy industry.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Systems Lead Engineer, gaining valuable experience in overall control system design. You will also interact with globally diverse teams responsible for product development and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- EFAT Process Oversight: Monitor, analyze, and improve testing processes to ensure compliance with performance and quality standards.
- Test Execution & Validation: Conduct functional, performance, and automation tests at the System integration stage.
- Root Cause Analysis: Identify and resolve test failures, working with production, design, and engineering teams.
- Automation Development: Develop and optimize automated test scripts to improve efficiency and accuracy in EFAT testing.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate test documentation, generate reports, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software, electronics, and systems engineering teams to implement best practices and resolve issues.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure testing adheres to industry regulations and company quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience with controls systems and automation.
- Familiarity with electronic systems and industrial communication protocols.
- Experience with testing and Quality Assurance for control systems.
- Skilled with testing tools and task management software.
- Bachelor's degree preferably with a specialization in Computer Science, Engineering, Quality or related field.
- Solution-oriented and structured approach to solving complex challenges.
- Strong relationship-building abilities and effective collaboration in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent command of English, both written and oral.
