Sub-System Responsible Engineer

In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the technical direction of a key engineering sub-system, influence global product strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, quality, and compliance across complex, high-impact projects. 

This is a permanent role. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain product strategy, technical roadmap, and governance for assigned sub-systems
  • Approve and manage technical governance documents (e.g., DGLs, STDs, geometry standards)
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards; represent the company at professional society events
  • Provide leadership on major technical issues and ensure global implementation of corrective actions
  • Support FEED studies, front-end engineering, and pre-tender strategy reviews
  • Build strong relationships with operators’ Technical Authorities to align on specifications and future needs
  • Promote and enforce best practices across global and regional project teams
  • Act as a delegate of the Technical Authority with authority to approve deviations and accept/reject product changes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., manufacturing, quality, supply chain) to ensure product integrity and delivery
  • Mentor and support engineering teams in technical problem-solving and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Education: at least BSc in a STEM discipline
  • Experience: 10-15 years in engineering, including project, technical, and operational management
  • Expertise: Recognized technical authority in Well & Flow Control and Interconnect systems
  • Strong knowledge of product integration, costing, execution schedules, and fabrication/testing processes
  • Proven ability to solve complex technical and personnel issues
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills across regions, cultures, and organizational levels
  • Deep understanding of materials science, including NDE, HISC, and HIP processes, would be a plus
  • Ability to build effective networks with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and industry leaders
  • Strong English language, C1 level
