Job purpose

We are looking for a motivated engineering professional with passion to controls hardware and software to join our Controls & Automation Software Department in Krakow Engineering Center. As a Software Quality Engineer, you will be cooperating closely with multiple teams spread across the globe and working on controls systems for our subsea control platforms.

The main function of this role will be defining, implementing, and executing the SW tests according to the acceptance criteria for the specifications of a feature. On this level it is expected the candidate is able to contribute to define the test and quality assurance strategy.

Experience

  • professional experience in software/hardware testing
  • Internship or academic project experience in QA or embedded systems is a plus

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field

Technical skills

  • Ability to create test cases based on functional and technical requirements
  • Basic coding skills (e.g., Python, C/C++, or JavaScript)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and QA methodologies
  • Experience or willingness to work with hardware (e.g., embedded boards, sensors, interfaces)
  • Ability to set up and configure virtual environments (e.g., VirtualBox, Docker, VMware)

Tools and Technologies:

  • Basic knowledge of test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr)
  • Exposure to scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Experience with Linux-based systems is a plus
  • Understanding of basic networking and system configuration
