Job Purpose

The Services System Engineer provides support for projects in Subsea Services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: project tender support, project execution, technical interface management, product and system troubleshooting, management of technical  documentation, technical planning, customer interface, product design review and validation, and scope definition for system upgrades. The successful candidate will join a fast pace, technically capable organization that will further refine their technical and leadership skills.

Job Description

  • Technical focal point within Subsea Services for iEPCI/EPC and brownfield scopes of work
  • Actively identify risks that present issues to Service Center, and collaborates with stakeholders to generate action plan to close gaps before hand-off to Service Center
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to service center and value stream engineering.
  • Leads and facilitates client communications to ensure Customer Service opportunities are identified, integrated with regional Business Development objectives, and incorporated into company-wide goals.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Minimum 8 years Subsea Oil & Gas Experience
  • Field and/or shop operations with Subsea Production Systems as a plus
  • Strong project management skills, including:

    • ability to provide engineering hours for scope of work and manage hours to stay on budget.

    • ability to recognize the impact of variations in customer, code or contract compliance as it applies to cost and schedule.

    • ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.

  • Subsea System Competency (vertical tree systems, horizontal tree systems, intervention systems, subsea manifolds and interconnecting systems, controls systems):
    • Operational in at least 2 subsea systems
    • Mastery of 1 subsea system
  • Systems Engineering Competency:
    • Foundational - Technical Requirements Definition, Technical Planning, Requirements Management, Technical Assessment
    • Operational - Stakeholder Management, Design Solution Definition, Interface Management, Technical Risk Assessment, Technical Data Management
  • Ability to build and maintain direct customer relationships.
  • Ability to transfer knowledge and expertise.
