Senior Welding Engineer

Job Purpose
As a Welding Engineer you will join Materials Engineering Team which is a part of global TechnipFMC Core Technologies network responsible for providing the best-in-class Subject Matter Experts support for Oil & Gas subsea production worldwide. The Materials Engineering team provides expertise in NDT, materials engineering, corrosion protection and welding.
Job Description
- Acting as a global expert in the welding area
- Supporting project engineering teams and ongoing projects with welding expertise
- Writing and optimizing technical specifications in line with contractual documents and scope of work
- Reviewing suppliers welding documentation (PQR, WPS, Weld Plan, Welding Books)
- Supporting in-house welding activities – planning qualifications, technical support
- Continuous support of strategic welding suppliers to meet all specifications and to perform zero defect welding jobs.
- Introducing LEAN document management
- Developing requirements and internal standards
- Performing technical audits
- Participating in design meetings and reviews
You are meant for this job if:
- BSc/MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering or similar
- Experience in welding engineer position
- Broad knowledge about welding processes
- Knowledge of industry standards for welding
- Very good foundation of engineering and materials science
- Practical knowledge of MS Office
- Fluency in English
- Good communication skills and team-player spirit
Additional Skills
- IWE certification (IWI certification will be an additional asset)
- Level II in NDE (PT, RT, VT, UT, MT) desirable
- Knowledge of MS Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate)
