SW Quality Engineer

Job purpose
We are looking for a motivated engineering professional with passion to controls hardware and software to join our Controls & Automation Software Department in Krakow Engineering Center. As a Software Quality Engineer, you will be cooperating closely with multiple teams spread across the globe and working on controls systems for our subsea control platforms.
The main function of this role will be defining, implementing, and executing the SW tests according to the acceptance criteria for the specifications of a feature. On this level it is expected the candidate is able to contribute to define the test and quality assurance strategy.
Job descripton
• Prepare and document test activities (including Test Plan and Test Reports preparation)
• CI/CD (establish processes, pipelines and elements, manage tools, version control, QA tool chain)
• Define test data/configuration sets
• Configure test environment
• Adapt, develop and execute automated test scripts (Data Driven Development)
• Troubleshoot problem, isolate and track defects
• Automated Test scripts integration with DevOps Engineers on CI/CD
• Maintain data sets and configuration
• Cooperation with developers and product Quality Engineers
• Participate in the requirements analysis and definition of the test specifications at project level
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field
Technical skills
- Ability to create test cases based on functional and technical requirements
- Python
- Test automation
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and QA methodologies
- Ability to set up and configure virtual environments (e.g., VirtualBox, Docker, VMware)
Soft skills
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Proactive attitude and ownership of assigned tasks
Please note that this role requires to work min 4 days/week from our office in Krakow
