Job Purpose

Join our Subsea Drilling Services (SDS) Value Stream as a CAD Designer and play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions for subsea drilling systems. In this position, you will create and maintain detailed 3D models and engineering drawings to support design, fabrication, interface verification, and installation of critical drilling products used in the global offshore energy industry.

 

Based in our Kraków engineering center and reporting to the SDS Technical Manager, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and enhance subsea wellhead solutions that meet evolving customer needs and technical requirements. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in advanced CAD tools while working within established engineering, manufacturing, and documentation standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform 3D Modeling (parametric models) and 2D drafting within schedule and with respect to Quality and Safety requirements related with design, field use, verification and testing of equipment.
  • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software.
  • Manage CAD tasks, ensure milestones completion and on time delivery, handle design/drafting packages, report on a continuous basis.
  • Control proper BOM's (Bill of Material) structure, perform Tolerance Stack-up calculations for assemblies.
  • Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay-out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
  • Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
  • The position is based on a 4‑days‑in‑office / 1‑day‑remote hybrid model.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/MA degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanics / Machine Design / Mechanical Engineering).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Product Design & Development using 3D CAD software (NX preferred).
  • Advanced English level (B2 / C1) is required.
  • Ability to read an interpret schematics, prints, mechanical drawings, and written technical information.
  • Good knowledge on parametric design, arrangements/configurations, ASME/ISO drafting standards.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing and welding processes.
  • Experience in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) or GPS (Geometrical Product Specification).
  • Awareness of Tolerance Stack-up calculations for parts and assemblies.
  • Ability to effectively operate in the project team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in PLM Software (ie. Teamcenter, SAP) would be a plus.
