Job Purpose

As a Project Engineer, you will be part of Subsea Drilling System Value Stream and responsible for engineering tasks associated with drilling products. The Project Engineer reports to the Group Leader and provides engineering solutions for the Subsea Drilling Services business throughout the value stream. This role supports increased demand for subsea wellhead products. Within TechnipFMC Subsea Services (Subsea Drilling System Value Stream), the team develops and maintains solutions for the subsea wellhead market, addressing various technical requirements. The position requires an engineer with expertise in detailed mechanical design to work within the Subsea Drilling System team in Subsea Services Engineering Department, which is located at the Global Engineering Center in Kraków.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage Subsea Wellhead systems projects, oversee tasks, and report to Project and Engineering Managers.
  • Present design solutions at internal reviews and customer meetings.
  • Provide engineering support across Project team including Project Management, Quality, Procurement, and Manufacturing.
  • Drive process improvements using Lean, Lessons Learned, and Root Cause Analysis within SDS Engineering.
  • Maintain and review engineering documents such as reports, procedures, specifications, and drawings.
  • Ensure project alignment through expertise in all product design phases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve project issues; develop new and improved designs for equipment and tools.
  • Update instructions for assembly, testing, maintenance, and offshore installation.
  • Create and revise detailed machining, assembly, production, welding, GA, stack-up, and hydraulic schematic drawings.
  • Perform hand-calculations to validate designs.
  • Track project spend and budget, reporting status to supervisors.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Machine Design, Mechatronics, Production/ Process Engineering or other related field,
  • +0 years of professional experience - Junior Subsea Services Engineer,
  • +3 years of professional experience - Subsea Services Engineer,
  • Experience in 3D CAD Software,
  • Experience in PLM Software (ie. Teamcenter, SAP) would be a plus,
  • Oil and Gas Industry experience would be a plus,
  • Very good problem solving and troubleshooting skills,
  • Ability to effectively operate in the project team environment,
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in English, orally and through written documentation,
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
