Job Purpose

Participates in engineering solutions as part of a SSE project taskforce, in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures, processes, schedules, and budget, with a continuous concern for quality, targets, and customer satisfaction.

Job Description

  • Design of the following equipment per project-specific design specifications and industry-recognized codes as well as the following relevant processes:
    • Offshore and subsea structures
    • Seafastening of structures
    • Design of Installation Aids & Ancillary Equipment
  • Assist as required for vessels mobilization
  • Responsible for product documentation required for procurement, fabrication, and installation (Design reports and drawings) including:
    • 3D models and drawings of single components and assemblies.
    • Verification of design using hand calculations and FEA.
    • Define Geometrical Product Specifications.
    • Check interfaces including performing the tolerance stack-up studies.
    • Design Reports to include product design justification.
  • Perform Product Design Reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cooperate with the assigned project team and other cross-functional teams to agree on the design solutions.
  • Product expertise in the expertise area including advice on fabrication of design.
  • Provide design input in technical meetings with Clients, Suppliers and other 3rd parties.

You are meant for this job if:

  • BA/MA degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanics, Machine Design, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or similar).
  • Good communication skills to discuss aspects of the design with the stakeholders.
  • Capable of solving technical issues.
  • Analytical skills (experience in FEA software) is an asset.
