Job Purpose

•    Wrangles and integrates varied datasets, architecting specialized data and computing models
•    Discovers insights and identifies valuable business opportunities through data science
•    Presents data insights in a way that can be easily understood by others
•    Creates, refines, and integrates models to solve complex problems
•    Integral member of development team that delivers highly-effective digital services

Position Duties

•    Establishes strategic recommendations on data collections incorporating business requirements and knowledge of best practices
•    Identifies and evaluates relevancy of data sources both internal and external, in collaboration with subject matter experts and IT stakeholders
•    Develops innovative and effective approaches to solve DSI analytics problems through the application of data mining, feature engineering, scenario modelling, advanced algorithms, machine learning, experimental design, and hypothesis testing
•    Works with the development team to ensure relevant analytics and data is utilized in digital services
•    Suggests improvements to business metrics for the digital services
•    Structures and presents data insights in easy to understand terms for external stakeholders
•    Performs training and education of key stakeholders in relevant areas of data science techniques 

Position Requirements

•    BSc Required, MSc/PhD preferred in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics (Experience can compensate for lack of formal competency) 
•    At least 7 years of experience in data science, data engineering, data analysis, or software development 
•    At least 7 years of programming experience in R, python, or other data science language 
•    Expert in creating and optimizing SQL and shell scripts
•    Expert in analyzing, wrangling, and joining varied datasets 
•    Expert in using machine learning platforms to design, build, test, refine, and deploy predictive models
•    Capable of deploying and maintaining AI technologies in cloud environments
•    Highly advanced in building high-quality graphical visualizations of data 
•    Capable of effectively structuring information and communicating insights in presentations 
•    Capable of writing and reviewing code written in SQL, R, and python

Please note that this position follows a hybrid working model and requires attendance in our Krakow office 4 days per week
