Job Purpose

In this role at TechnipFMC you will provide technical leadership and engineering support across studies, tenders, and project execution activities. You will work closely with Lead Engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality engineering solutions, successful project start-up and handover, and effective delivery of technical work. You will also lead and perform study, tender, and pre-engineering activities, contributing to the successful development of project opportunities and customer solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Controls sub-system engineering within Tender, Studies, Pre-FEED, FEED and Early Engineering projects.
  • Establish and maintain Controls technical documentation in accordance with TechnipFMC engineering practices and company standards.
  • Accountable for technical management of Controls scope including schedules, budgets, deliverables and project requirements.
  • Act as primary Controls interface towards clients through meetings, presentations and technical discussions.
  • Understand, interpret and communicate customer requirements to relevant engineering disciplines.
  • Define and maintain Controls internal and external interfaces.
  • Approve design basis and coordinate Controls design activities.
  • Identify, analyse and mitigate engineering and technical risks.
  • Identify scope changes and coordinate inputs for Variation Orders and Potential Variation Orders (PVOs).
  • Define system architecture and Controls solutions according to process requirements.
  • Prepare technical documentation describing project scope, deliverables and testing philosophy.
  • Prepare and coordinate Technical Strategy Meetings together with System Responsible Engineers.
  • Compile and maintain equipment and component lists developed during System Design activities.
  • Review customer specifications against internal standards and identify gaps, deviations and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare qualification, exception and deviation registers.
  • Coordinate engineering activities required to establish complete engineering packages.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and Quality functions to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
  • Ensure Controls sub-system delivery in accordance with company, contractual and project requirements.

You are meant for this job if you have:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in similar role/environment 
  • Strong English language knowledge - min. B2
  • Strong technical expertise with the ability to prepare and review complex engineering and product documentation.
  • Proven ability to independently analyze and resolve technical challenges in a structured and effective manner
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and preventing potential issues
  • Excellent organizational skills, enabling you to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results within challenging deadlines
  • Experience estimating engineering effort and providing input into project planning and resource requirement
  • The ability to work independently on complex technical assignments while also providing technical guidance and leadership when required
  • Experience assessing technical requirement changes and understanding their potential impact on project scope, schedule, and related activities
  • Solid risk management capabilities, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project and technical risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • The ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced environments and under time constraints
  • Experience working in Tender, Study, Pre-FEED or FEED phases.
  • Experience managing technical interfaces with customers and external stakeholders.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering activities.
  • Strong understanding of project scope management, technical risk assessment and change management.
  • Experience preparing technical proposals, engineering strategies and customer presentations.
  • Ability to review customer specifications and translate them into engineering requirements.

    Please note that this is a hybrid role requiring presence in the Krakow office 4 days per week.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in subsea production systems or offshore energy projects.
  • Experience with Controls system architecture and integration.
  • Knowledge of engineering lifecycle from Tender through Project Execution.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams.
