Job Purpose

System Engineering Service is a department within Engineering Services at TechnipFMC. The department’s objective is to create customer success and be the preferred partner for operators in the Life of Field phase.

The department is seeking a system engineer to lead and coordinate engineering activities for our clients. The engineering activities are multidiscipline and involve work related to rig mobilization, feasibility studies, technical support to Fields in Operation as well as preparing Delivery project for installation and life of Field operations. The work location is TechnipFMC’s Offices either in Kongsberg or at our Ågotnes base, close to Bergen.

Job Description

  • Technical Management for Rig mobilization. Including, Interfaces on rig and SPS, Stack up Drawings, Riser analysis, WOCS, MEL, SMDR, Modes of Operation, Testing, Mobilization, etc.
  • Be the main technical link between TechnipFMC Services, the customer and our Product departments
  • Lead and Coordinate field studies, E.g. lifetime extension, Field upgrade, Feasibility Studies, system/ product upgrades.
  • Participate in system tests like Stack Up Tests and System Integration Tests
  • Support our sales and tender department to establish Scope of Work and get input from stakeholders to make a proposal including Cost Time and Resources (CTR)
  • Propose product and system improvements

You are meant for this job if:

  • Theoretical background as MSc. or B.Sc.
  • Technical background as lead engineer or project engineer
  • Offshore experience from Rig operations
  • Have project experience with subsea/offshore equipment/systems
  • Possess a clear understanding of Subsea Systems - application, functionality and requirements
  • Have focus on Quality, Health Environment and Safety within the area of responsibility
  • Knowledge of FMC’s products and services
  • You are an initiator and promoter
  • You are responsible and with good communication and co-operation skills
  • Fluent in English language
  • Candidates must be eligible to work and reside in Norway without VISA support
