Job Purpose

Coordinate and lead the Document Control team to ensure efficient, compliant, and value‑adding management of project data and documents for Projects Services. Drive standardization and simplification, ensure data accuracy and on‑time deliverables, and develop team capabilities in alignment with TechnipFMC procedures, project requirements, and client standards.

 

Job Description

  • Documentation leadership — Acts as primary focal point for Document Control, managing escalations, resources, and alignment with Engineering, PM, Supply Chain, Quality, and suppliers.

  • Team supervision — Manages a team of Document Controllers with direct personnel responsibility , ensures compliance, drives performance check‑ins, coaching, onboarding, and workload/prioritization in a high‑volume environment.

  • Systems ownership — Serves as specialist for Proarc, OpenText, SharePoint, PowerBI and client systems; manages configuration, access, integration rules, numbering structures, and approval workflows.

  • Process & governance — Develops Document Control Plans, procedures, matrices, and filing conventions; ensures accurate registration, compliance, audit readiness, and drives simplification and continuous improvement.

  • Execution oversight — Oversees Document Control delivery across projects, performs senior DC tasks when needed, resolves interface issues, and supports documentation planning and cross‑functional coordination.

  • Reporting & KPIs — Produces reports, monitors deviations, and develops KPIs and workload indicators to provide data‑driven insights to management.

You are meant for this job if:

    • Education requirements — High school diploma/GED, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional experience depending on location and regulatory requirements.

    • Experience level — 10+ years in Document Control and 3+ years in supervisory/management roles.

    • Technical proficiency — Strong knowledge of Records/Document Management, EDMS platforms, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Document Control policies/procedures.

    • Problem‑solving & communication — Advanced English, strong stakeholder management, and ability to resolve issues independently.

    • Digital skills — Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

    • Leadership & mentoring — Proven mentoring capability, ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain organization, and handle confidential information.

    • Professional attributes — Proactive, results‑oriented, detail‑focused, highly organized, and effective with diverse technical and cultural groups.

    • Performance track record — Demonstrated success through KPIs, accountability, and growth in previous roles.

    • Emotional intelligence — High emotional resilience and ability to remain composed and supportive under pressure.
