Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Pre‑Commissioning Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for an engineer with minimum 5 years of experience who can work independently on projects and tender deliverables, provide technical expertise, and support execution teams during onshore/offshore activities.

You will play a key part in delivering high‑quality engineering related to subsea and pipeline pre‑commissioning, ensuring safety and compliance across all tasks.

Job Description

Pre‑Commissioning Engineering

  • Deliver engineering scopes for:
    • Flooding, Cleaning & Gauging (FCG)
    • Hydrotesting
    • Flushing & Leak Testing
    • Dewatering
    • Umbilical electrical and fiber‑optic testing
  • Prepare engineering documents including procedures, task plans and reports.
  • Ensure all engineering work aligns with project specifications, industry standards, and internal procedures.
  • Provide technical support during onshore and offshore execution phases when required.

Project Collaboration

  • Interface with internal disciplines, vendors, and service providers.
  • Support equipment specifications, mobilization planning, and operational readiness activities.
  • Participate in project reviews, technical discussions, and risk assessments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Tender Support

  • Provide input to tender methodology and execution approaches.
  • Prepare technical clarifications, scope descriptions, and man‑hour estimates.
  • Support internal reviews related to technical evaluations and project execution planning.

You are meant for this job if:

  • BSc/MSc or similar in Marine, Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, or relevant engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pre‑commissioning or related subsea/pipeline engineering.
  • Strong understanding of pre‑commissioning operations, industry standards, and operational workflows.
  • Experience with both project and tender environments is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, structure tasks efficiently, and deliver under pressure.
  • Experience working as Lead Engineer is an advantage.
  • Solid communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic project environments with shifting priorities.
  • Offshore/on‑site participation may be required depending on project needs.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Norway, without sponsorship

  • Work Location: The role will be based at our Lysaker office initially, with the primary workplace moving to Kongsberg from Q1 2027
