Job Purpose

Are you our new Senior Buyer joining our experienced procurement team in Controls & Automation in Kongsberg, supporting manufacturing and projects?

 

We seek a highly skilled buyer to our Controls & Automation Procurement team, supporting Projects and Manufacturing in Kongsberg. The packages you will be working on are Topside SCU and HPU, scope is big in both complexity and value, so your work will have a high focus and importance for the company. You are required to work well under pressure and cooperate with multiple stakeholders in an international environment with highly capable and professional coworkers.

Job Description

  • Fulfills strategic inquiring and purchasing activities within time and budget, expedites bids and supplier negotiations
  • Communicate order status with internal stakeholders, and ensure accuracy of system data.
  • Capable of resolving commercial issues, and have advanced skills to manage purchase orders of high value and complexity
  • Drive mitigation processes towards supplier as required
  • Work closely with Sourcing, Engineering and Project Teams in execution issues

You are meant for this job if:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, with minimum of at least 4 years' Experience in Procurement roles. Experience can compensate for lack of formal competency
  • Highly developed analytic, problem-solving skills and solution oriented
  • Proficiency in communication and negotiations, and capable of professionally chairing internal and external meetings.
  • Ability to identify process weaknesses and make recommendations to processes and workflow improvements to reduce costs and/or increase quality and /or efficiency
  • Knowledge of SAP and other applicable business systems
  • Be committed and proactive, have a strong sense of collaboration, able to make decisions and learn from every situation
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in country without sponsorship
