Job Purpose

We are seeking the sharpest minds to take our world-class Subsea Production Control System technology even further. To meet new challenges and opportunities we are seeking a determined and motivated Software Quality Engineer to join our Controls and Automation Subsea SW Product Development team.

Job Description

As a Software Quality Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, maintain and execute software tests within our software lab environment. You will collaborate with our software development teams to develop standard frameworks and validate product software and applications, ensuring high quality software deliveries. It is expected the candidate is able to contribute to define the test and quality assurance strategy.

You are meant for this job if you are:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably with a specialization in Computer Science, Electronics, IT and Automation or similar
  • Knowledge about automated testing tools and test management tools
  • Experience or willingness to work with hardware (e.g., embedded boards, sensors, interfaces)
  • Experienced with coding/scripting (e.g. Python, C/C++, or JavaScript)
  • Familiar with version control systems (e.g. Git)
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and QA methodologies
  • Ability to set up and configure virtual environments (e.g. VirtualBox, Docker, VMware)
  • Experience with Linux-based systems is a plus
  • Understanding of basic networking and system configuration
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Proactive attitude and ownership of assigned tasks
  • You have an excellent command of English, both written and oral.
